The list goes on, but I don’t want to bore you here because this is more about you than it is about me.

You get my point, I'm just a total car nut, probably like you.

Here's a pic of that 1967 Camaro RS that I completed when I was 21 years old. The thing was a beauty. 

I sure miss it!

I paid $1,500.00 for the Camaro and let me tell you it was a BEATER!

It had no engine, no interior and the body was BEAT. 

I then did a ton of bodywork and invested $12,000.00 into it, I then had sold it about a year later for $21,000.00. This was back in 2003.

I then used the money to roll back into my business buying and selling cars for profit and went on to double that investment.

Then on to doubling that again, and again.

This is something that you can also do if you have a love for the work and want to make some extra cash.

My father owned and operated a successful auto body shop and as a 10-12 year old kid, I would watch him work on cars...

One important lesson that I learned from my father.

He said: 

"Tony, you need to WATCH the entire process first...you can learn a lot just by observing and paying attention to the whole process."

He continued and said...

"Tony, don't pick up any tools... just watch and understand why I'm doing, what I'm doing..."

He said: "Watch and learn from me first. Learn the A-Z step-by-step process and techniques from one person first.

Not from my partner Tony, not from Frank, with the body shop across the street.

Then go out and learn from others to gain additional tactics and strategies so you can mix them in with your own.

Then later in life, I started to have a fascination with martial arts and Bruce Lee. 

I read all of Bruce Lee's books, I even enrolled in classes that taught the Jeet-Kun Do style of martial art that Bruce later developed, created, and taught during his short life.

And what did I discover?

Bruce Lee did the same thing when he first started...

Literally.

He exclusively studied one style of martial art before training in various other styles.

During his early teens, Bruce studied with grand-master Yip Man and learned the arts of Wing Chun.

After many years of studying a variety of different martial art styles, Bruce then developed his own style called "Jeet Kun Do" .

You may have known or have heard of this...? 

The point is clear.

And this is what you should do when starting out with auto body and paint. 

The key is to follow one instructor that you know like and trust. 

Then take and use their strategy and apply them to your own projects from A-Z.

I don't care if you learn auto body from me, or if you decide to learn it from somebody else... 

I just want to help, give back, and make sure that you avoid the many costly pitfalls and common errors that can happen to you along the way..

Heck, I'll even give you a few names to help you out. 

You can look up Kevin Tetz, Donnie Smith or Ed Hubbs, or paint society online. They are all great instructors and have their own styles of auto body and paint instruction.

Some instructors teach by the book, and some from real world experience like myself and my friend, the legendary painter and founder of the House of Kolor paints. Jon Kosmoski.
